A Vessel Safety Check is a courtesy examination of your boat to verify the presence and condition of certain Safety Equipment required by State and Federal regulations. The Vessel Examiner is a trained specialist and is a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. They will make certain recommendations and discuss safety issues that will make you a safer boater.
This voluntary inspection is not a law enforcement matter. The results of the inspection will not be shared with any governmental agency, nor will any citations be given as a result of this encounter. We will only supply the boat owner with a copy of our evaluation so the he or she may follow some of the suggestions given. Vessels that pass will be able to display our distinctive VSC decal and may be eligible for discount on their boat insurance. Contact Kirby Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for a free inspection.
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer Component of the United States Coast Guard created by an Act of Congress in 1939. The Auxiliary, America’s Volunteer Guardians, supports the Coast Guard in nearly all of the service’s missions.
