I was lucky enough to spend the weekend in the Vineyard’s Campgrounds. Early this morning, I woke up and hit the banks of the campgrounds.
Much like last months report, I had some luck when finding rocky points. I caught a couple of large mouth bass in about an hour. These were caught on 7-inch blue fleck worms. The bass were also a little bigger in size than the ones caught at Katie’s Woods.
All I really do is look for rocky structure off of points. You can see the small bass chasing shad. Then just cast the worm in that area and wait for the fish to bite. The bites are coming fairly close to the bank (about 12 to 16 feet from the bank). These are fun, aggressive bass.
As a side note, staying in the Vineyard’s Campgrounds was a real treat. They have really upgraded those Campgrounds in the last year or so. We highly recommend checking them out should you get the chance.
