Camping is just a lot less fun when you can’t build a fire to stay warm and cook from. Unfortunately, Tarrant County has extended its Burn Ban for another 90 days. Here are the details from the Tarrant County website:

Today, March 15, 2011 the Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court extended an Outdoor Burning Ban for Tarrant County.

This Outdoor Burning Ban will be in place for the next 90 days. The original ban was instituted on December 14, 2010.

All outdoor burning in Tarrant County is PROHIBITED.

The Texas Forest Service and National Weather Service/Fort Worth have indicated that drought conditions in Tarrant County will continue until mid April or the 1st of May.

A violation of the Court Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning is a class C Misdemeanor and punishable of a fine up to $500.00.
